Truman's practice consists primarily of:
Truman received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1989. Truman obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in 1992.
Truman is a member of the Oregon State Bar and an inactive member of the Washington State Bar. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a current member of the Yamhill Bar Association and past member of the Clackamas and Multnomah County Bar Associations. Truman was an executive committee member of the Consumer Law Section of the Oregon State Bar (1998-2007) and served a term as Chair (2004). A frequent speaker on consumer topics, Truman co-edited revisions of the book Consumer Law in Oregon, published in 2005. Other activites include appearing on the television program OSB Legal Links, Buying a Car (May, 2001) & Consumer Contracts (June, 2005); serving as a Proctor for the Oregon State Bar Exam (Feb., 2002); and being an occasional Guest Lecturer for Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, George Fox University, and Newberg Public Schools.
