Educational Background
John obtained a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Political Science and History from Indiana University in
1987. He graduated cum laude from the Indiana School of Law in
Bloomington, Indiana in 1990 with a Juris Doctorate degree. While
in law school, John was honored with the Order of the Barrister and
competed on the law school's national trial team.
Professional Affiliations
John is a member of the Oregon State
and Yamhill County Bar Association and was Chair of the New
Lawyer's Division of the Oregon State Bar in 1996. He was also past
president of the Yamhill County Bar Association and presently
serves on the Oregon State Bar's Strategic Planning Committee, and
Chief Justice's Future of the Court Committee.
